Fifth grade classes are invited to the Discovery Center at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The Fun with Science field trip will introduce students to the science behind the National Ignition Facility, the world’s largest and most energetic laser system.

Students will learn about the concepts of light, lasers, optics and physics through demos, hands-on activities, and science displays. Fun with Science is aligned with the California Next Generation Science Standards for the fifth grade.
